Welcome to Cub Scouts !

When Scouting can help nurture courage and kindness and allow boys to play, to laugh, to develop their imaginations, and to express their feelings, then we will have helped them grow. We want boys to become useful and stable individuals who are aware of their own potential.

Helping a boy to learn the value of his own worth is the greatest gift we can give him!

You are welcome to come attend our monthly Pack meetings
held at St. Edward’s on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:00pm.

Walk for Kids

The Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts of St. Edward have formed a joint team to participate in the upcoming Walk for Kids to benefit the Orange County Ronald McDonald House.  This fun, kid friendly 5K is open to everyone and a great opportunity for all of us to get outside, get some exercise and give back to those who are less fortunate.

From: 0830 to 1030

Arroyo Trabuco Trail: Robert Curtis Park

I've modified the hike to a distance of around 4 miles.  This is an easier hike than we normally do.  It's a beautiful hike with a few little Creek crossings to.make it fun.  I did the hike the other day and really enjoyed it.  Please come out and enjoy another beautiful hike in our backyard.  See attachments for directions and more information.

Scout Mass at St. Ed's on Sunday 2/9

Posted on Jan 14 2020 - 2:54pm

Sunday 2/9 is the designated Sunday for Scout Mass where our Scouts can take an active roll in the 11am mass @ St. Edward the Confessor. Depending on how many families attend, our Scouts may have the ability to demonstrate leadership and service by assisting the ushers, bringing up the gifts and providing flag bearers, among other activites. As with all Cub Scout activities, all family and friends are welcome.

January Pack Hike

Posted on Jan 5 2020 - 9:57pm

I've had to change the date of the hike due to a work conflict.  Please join us for the January hike.  Since this is the last hike for our scouts that are bridging out, I’ve selected a special hike for them.  The Boat Road Trail with a modification (see attached) in the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.  This is a great 5 mile hike that is labeled as moderate but felt a little more challenging than that.  The Boat Road Trail is steep in several parts, but the Water Tank Road and the last mile of the hike that winds thru a beautiful trail that ties back into the Boat Road Trail is one of the more beautiful hikes we’ve done.  My family did it the other day.  Scott didn’t complain too much, was able to complete the whole thing, but was tired at the end.  It may be too challenging for some of the younger scouts.  Remember to bring your essentials.   (Flashlight, Water, Whistle, First Aid Kit, Sun Protection, Trail Food).  If you have any questions, feel free to call or text.
